Most fees and procedures including home visits are bulk billed to Medicare Australia. This includes any pathology or x-rays you may require. To be bulk billed it is essential that you bring with you a current Medicare card and any concession cards. Patients without a Medicare card will be charged a $70.00 fee which must be paid at the time of consultation.

Some services, including pre-employment medicals, taxi licenses and circumcisions will incur a fee.

Your medical records are confidential. Our policy is to maintain security of your personal health information at all times. In the interests of providing quality health care we have developed a privacy policy that complies with the Commonwealth Government legislation and recognises the rights of our patients to privacy. Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery, or via our website. Appointments enable our doctors to manage their time so as to accommodate all patients. There is often also a need to deal with urgent problems and to see patients who need unexpected medical attention. We are therefore happy to see patients who “drop in” without an appointment. Patient’s with appointments are naturally given priority whilst “drop in” patients may have to wait.

Extended appointments: If you think you might need extra time with the doctor please advise the receptionist when making your appointment.

We believe that any problems of any sort are best dealt with by the practice and we would always wish to know if you were unhappy with any aspect of our service. Patient questionnaires are available at the reception desk. Your suggestions and input into how we can improve our service is always welcome. Doctors in this practice can be contacted during surgery hours. However, for concerns of confidentiality and risk of errors, results will NOT be given over the phone. If the doctor is with a patient when you call, a message will be taken for the doctor to return your call later. In emergencies, a doctor will always take the call.

As of July 01st 2013 our practice has changed our policy and payment of new Work Cover claims must be paid in full on the day of attendance.
Patients will then be able to claim a specified amount form your Work Cover company once your claim is registered.

Our doctors participate in the Chronic Disease Management plan to assist eligible patients.  Please talk to our nurses or your doctor for further information regarding these services.

The Better Access initiative is available to eligible patients with an assessed mental disorder.  Please talk to your doctor who will assess whether the preparation of a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan is appropriate for you given your health care needs and circumstances.
